Privacy Policy

What we store

• Your conversation messages and the companion's replies.
• Short conversation summaries used to maintain context efficiently.
• A compact, factual memory across conversations, so you do not have to repeat yourself. It is not intended as a psychological profile.
• An anonymous identifier stored in your browser and in a first-party cookie, so your conversations stay connected to your identity on this device.
• If you subscribe, your subscription status, paid-through dates and PayPal references.
• If you secure your access, your optional email and authentication information. Your recovery code is stored in protected form.

Why we use it

We use this information to provide the app, maintain continuity across conversations, restore your access, manage subscription status, and secure, operate, troubleshoot and support the service.

What we do not handle

We do not receive or store your card details. Payment details are handled by PayPal. We do not store passwords because sign-in is passwordless.

Email and access

No email is required during the free seven days. After subscribing, you may add an email for cross-device access. Sign-in uses a temporary link sent by email. A recovery code is available as a backup. Keep that code private: anyone who has it can reach your conversations.

Your data controls

• Delete one conversation and its messages.
• Clear the compact memory and your current Next Move (your conversations stay).
• Delete all conversations, memory and your current Next Move.

Deleting conversations or memory does not cancel your subscription. Authentication, trial and billing records are handled separately and may be retained as needed to operate your account, manage billing, prevent abuse or comply with law.

Services we use

• Supabase provides database and authentication services.
• PayPal processes subscription payments.
• Resend delivers authentication emails.
• AI model/provider infrastructure receives your messages and relevant context in order to generate replies.

Operational access

When necessary to operate, troubleshoot, secure, or support the service, stored data may be accessed by the person operating The Next Move or by service providers that support the product.

Retention

We retain data while your identity or account remains in use or as needed to provide the service, unless you delete supported content. Some authentication, trial and billing records may need to be retained separately to operate the account, manage billing, prevent abuse or comply with law.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over your personal data. You can use the controls in the product for conversations and memory, or contact support@journeywithin.life to exercise other rights available under applicable law.
